Kotobukiya Yoda & Dagobah R2-D2 ARTFX+ Statues!

Kotobukiya revealed their plans for a two-pack of Star Wars ARTFX+ Yoda and Dagobah R2-D2 statues way back in the second half of 2015, but new details have been sparse ever since. But no longer! We now know the “when” and the “how much”: the Kotobukiya Dagobah R2-D2 and Yoda statues are now up for order! And hey–“there is another”: this two-pack has become a three-pack!

Kotobukiya Dagobah R2-D2 & Yoda ARTFX+ Statues Pack

Kotobukiya has seemingly been in no rush to get new Original Trilogy ARTFX+ statues up for order in 2016, but finally we’ve got something new and interesting up for sale to talk about: the Dagobah duo of R2-D2 and Yoda statues!

Now, R2-D2 has been available a couple times now in various packs, but this will be both the first time he’s available with Yoda and the first time he’s available from Koto with (awesome) muddy deco. R2 will have alternate parts so he can be displayed on two or three legs.

Muddy R2-D2 is likely my favorite version of Artoo (followed closely by Serving Droid R2-D2), so I’m thrilled to see him getting some love in this form from Kotobukiya. This may be the best-looking Dagobah R2-D2 figure I’ve ever seen with the exceptional detailing on this statue!

Meanwhile, Yoda makes his 1:10 ARTFX+ statue debut in this pack not once, but twice! This is classic OT Yoda all the way, and he’ll have two display options thanks tk interchangeable parts: eyes closed and arms reaching out with the Force, or eyes open and arms crossed naturally.

As an unexpected bonus, Koto is throwing in a translucent blue Spirit of Yoda statue with this pack. Yoda may be tiny, but that’s still 50% more statues in this pack! Not bad for the price!

And speaking of the price–this set will retail for $64.99, but it’s available for order now for $59.99 from BBTS with their pre-order discount. Considering the Koto Astromech droids statues retail for ~$45 each, an extra $15-$20 for two Yoda statues seems like an outstanding deal.

I’ll update this post with additional images of the ARTFX+ Yoda and Dagobah R2-D2 set once Kotobukiya posts the official photos, and you can follow Star Wars Toy News on Facebook to have further news and photos beamed right to your Facebook Newsfeed.

What do you think of the latest triad of 1/10 Kotobukiya Star Wars ARTFX+ statues? Will these characters from the legendary Dagobah scenes be joining your collection this fall?
